ORIGINAL: hogdoc...The tire price seems about average we charge a straight hour if its on the bike (70.00) 1/2 hour if its off ( 35.00).
Yep, that's been my experience too.

Dunlop 402 blackwall - $125.

Mount and balance myself - No charge

Knowing it was done right - priceless.

I had to buy the tools to start with, but they have paid for themselves over again.

I had a Metzler 880 put on the rear of my Road King Custom yesterday.
Tire $149
install $45
This was done at an all brand shop by a harley trained tech.

The Harley dealership wanted $145 for the tire and $ 70 to install but couldn't get to it for awhile. The tech said the real axle was full of rust because they don't grease them when they build them..he greased it before reinstall..I'm happy....glad I found a place to get it serviced after the warranty runs out.

Good to have an idea on price. I hope to not have to buy a tier for another 5k, but chit happens.

That is high at least in my area. I just paid $180 OTD for a rear Metzler installed.
