I used the HD cap on mine as it matched my bolt caps on my motor.

Remove the offending shift lever and simply shorten the existing splined shaft. Easy-peasy with either a hack saw or a cut-off wheel on a die grinder.
File the sharp edge over and reinstall the toe shifter and you'll have no need for any ugly spacers or caps (that catch your boot). You'll also have a bit more foot room.
Takes less than an hour and a replacement splined shaft costs around 15 bucks should you ever want the heel shifter back.

I was thinking the same thing. I use mine all the time. It comes in handy for just reaching down and popping it into neutral.

I just removed the rear shift peg and fit a shorter peg that I made up. Best of both worlds

I find I'm always getting the soul of my boots under the rear lever preventing the shifter from upshifting since I only use the front shifter. I only use the rear to go into N. Just a matter of time before I remove it.

A lot of good posts with solutions before mine. But here's how a cheap redneck does it.

My "spacer" is the rubber part of the old heel shifter cut down a little and placed inboard of the single shifter I moved out. It works well and didn't cost me anything.

I went to home depot and bought a plastic spacer.. 1/2 dia x 1/2 or 7/16 long. Couple bucks. Pulled heel shifter off, pulled toe shifter off, slid plastic bushing on the replace toe shifter. You'd never know it isn't factory!!

Me too but my shoes size is 8.5. I can see how it could get in the way if you have big feet.
