Too much money for all these suggestions. I do appreciate all the replies. Think I'll just buy some slightly used stock pipes.

I bought the bike with louder pipes and went to stock after about 50K. I get a lot of laughs, especially when I say they are too loud .. I think the baffles are worn out. The bike has 130K on it now.

Stock pipes too loud. Huh. Whodathunk?

Clearly the mass production of electric touring bikes cannot come soon enough for you.

No way Bud. I still feel what I'm riding. Most people just want that baddass sound. I don't need to impress anyone anymore than I already do. Women hanging all over me now ... Too many and it's causing issues.

And what happened to my signature picture?

Its not just because they are bigger. My stock pipes are fairly new 4" and they are louder than the 4" CVO mufflers.

Which year are your's? Definitely post back what you think. At this point mine are too quiet and I'm looking into the fullsac baffles.

The outer diameter has almost nothing to do with what is inside the pipe.

most cores are less than 2" diameter, many far less.

LOL! My late Goldwing friend knew I was on to something as he watched all the modified Harley's break down but mine never did. People call me a Harley snob but that enigma of quiet pipes baffles them.

Seriously though, I don't like to attract attention whether it be cops or my neighbors when I roll in at 3am.

I agree about a quieter exhaust especially on long trips -
