I realize that they're not, but they resemble the angle of the bag guards

I noticed that after the fact too. I had already bought bag guards, they're the fat 1 1/4" to match the engine guard and handlebars. I thought "huh, I wish they sold the comfort profile bag guards in black 1 1/4"".

they sure do look upside down.....

I think I would sell those (for that reason alone) and get the hd ones. you won't be so limited in the future. you'll be able to use soft lowers, or the hard lowers if you decide to go that route in the future.

Sage Brush Engine Guards will custom make lowers for you. I had a set on my last bike (not custom measured) and the quality was excellent. They were very responsive and helpful via email with questions I had before I ordered.

Try Captain Itch, he is a forum vender, and he may be able to make some
custom leather lowers for your setup.

Even if they don't make exactly for that bar, the sides are held by leather strips, which can be loosened/tightened to fit. Call them and see. I got a set for my C50, and transferred them over for use when I got my '06 SG. Gave them to someone else when I got my current ride, since it has the hard lowers anyway.

Thanks again guys. A lot of good links and info. Guess I just got to do some research and figure out who to use and what style I want to go with.

A. Make a set... get some leather, vinyl or heavy duck cotton, measure and sew, it's really not hard.

B. It is NOT possible to mount an engine guard upside down...

SafetyMan must be the only person that has removed a crash bar before. I assure you, it is not upside down.
