Default Has anyone seen an engine guard with this profile before? Can't find soft lowers.

I bought this engine guard last year. It's supposed to be a Biker's Choice 1 1/4in. Fat Bars Engine Guard - Black 400638. It doesn't have the same profile as any of the stock Harley engine guards. I didn't realize that until after it was mounted and been on the bike for awhile. (I know.... dumb) So now I'm looking for soft lowers and I think it may be an issue for me. Anyone seen this before? I spoke to Biker's choice, they directed me to the manufacture. Biker's choice said they don't offer lowers and their pictures show the straight top (like stock). The manufacture said they only make them to customer spec and the customers don't know their own product line. If you guys have a line on soft lowers that work let me know. Thanks.

did you try leader http://www.leadermotorcycle.com/dese...s-rain-guards/
they might be able to help you. i had some for a yami road star. i got some for my ultra classic too but never put them on. still have them laying around somewhere. you might be able to have them make you a pair or, if you tell them the manufacturer of the bars, they might have a pattern. good luck

If you never find a set that will fit yours, just take a standard HD or aftermarket set down to your local leather shop or someone who can sew.

They are just fabric after all. Shouldn't charge too much to mod them.

Personally I wouldn't waste the money. I bought a set and may have used them twice in 3 or 4 years. I now have a Lindby engine guard so not going to miss them. But if you are adamant you could do as suggested and have them fitted to your guard.

Try regular ones. Invert them and swap sides.

Most any auto upholstery shop should be able to whip you up something custom pretty easily and inexpensive.

Just some vinyl or leather with some laces would look great.

not to start any kind of trouble but those crash bars look to be up side down and on the wrong side of the bike. If the mounting plate doesn't match up I would be talking to the people who made them because I think they messed up. Like just plain John said use regular soft covers upside down. Just my opinion.

Fit on the same way as the factory crash bar.

I appreciate everyone's input. I kind of like the fact their unique, but I don't like the fact they make it difficult to mount crash bar driving lights. I don't know of a leather shop in my area, but I'll look around. Maybe I'll just have to go borrow a sewing machine and try to remember what I learned in home economics in high school. I may try and find someone willing to trade my black for their black stock style. I typically wear chaps anyway and the wind doesn't bother me. If I can ride when it's cool out without that extra step of layering up it would be worth it. Plus they gotta help my toes when I'm riding in the sub 40's. I try to ride till there's snowflakes or ice stopping me.
