I recently purchased a 2015 after 10 years being off my first Road King and what a difference. The high output 103 engines is great, it is comfortable, and it has the classic look the way a motorcycle should look. I rode the bike over 1300 miles to my Florida home a week ago and it performed well. The cruise control is a great option for long distance riding. The only issue I had is the ticking noise but I installed the rocker lockers and now it purrs like a kitty…..

Keithhu It was an option as I also still have an 06 cop bike It is a 5 speed 88ci with no ABS.. during those years one of the saddlebags { forget which side }was alway's different for bikes with ABS or not..

The post 2008 frame with the tires better design for the weight of the bike
ABS standard along with the linked brakes
The heavier front end
Daymarker head lights standard They are outstanding
Wet Head high out put 103
Info center works just fine for me Not sure what people bitch about GPS is simple and works of no reuse to me but took 5 minutes to figure out.
Rushmore bags
Wires in bars from factory
TBW sense 2009
While it may take a bit of getting use to HYD clutch
Changes to the Touring line sense 2008 have added up to the Rushmore. Not one of the changes IMO are bad. 5 rides back was my 2007 it was a great bike , one I will always remember. But Facts are the 2016 wet head is better for the riding we do.
Keep up the good work Captain Itch time for a new belt soon. last Holster you made for me was one of the few things that survived the last motorcycle deer hunting experiment.
