Best Way to Drain oil out of Jugs?
To make a very long story short, my bike has been sitting since march 2013 when my old evo got wrecked. I bought a project 2000 electra glide and just haven't had the time or physical ability to wrench on her to make it a reliable street ride. It's been sitting with the tranny removed from the bike since 2013 not running; and me having an old mans mentality I've dumped some marvelous mystery oil down the jugs through the spark plug holes over the past two years. I was just wondering how I should go about draining the mystery oil out now that I'm finally wrenching a little. Thanks.

Hey there,
In all likelihood, the oil has seeped on down by the rings at this point, but it's possible that some remains in there, depending on how good the seal is, and the orientation of the ring gaps.
I have this great one-man brake bleeder, that is a suction tube connected to a reservoir for waste. It works off compressed air. I'd just remove the caliper nipple fitting, stick the rubber suction hose down the spark plug holes until I touched piston, hit the suction, and that would take nearly everything liquid out.

Of course, you could always turn the motor over with the plugs out as well, but the spray could be messy.
All the best,
Shane

It's NO BIG DEAL.
when you are ready to revive the motor, get a fresh oil supply, turn over the motor to get it moving- with plugs out, you can rotate the wheel to get it moving, the idea is to get the oil pump working and move some oil around the system.
if you have a crapload pf liquid oil in the cylinder, it will come out the plug hole when the motor is being rotated.
when started, any remaining oil in the cylinder will be pushed out the exhaust...yes, it may be smokey, but oil on those rings for the start will be a good thing
