You hear this about BMWs. To me the darned things are just ugly and look uncomfortable to ride. No doubt well-engineered at least in some respects.

 

I liked the last article " financial advise for my new son. I owned a 2000 Roadstar and it was recalled due to shattering c-clips on the 4 th and 5 th gear. This would cause the rear tire to lock up . Maybe they have fixed something since then. I'm sticking with my 02' Road King.

 

I don't know how I have been so lucky, reading some of the problems with many of the HD bikes on the forums, my FXRP and ROADKING never were in the shop, never had recalls, and were sound machines. Disappointing to hear so many mechanical problems. I wish HD continued success, but will wait to buy another until they raise the bar.
