Default "New" bags on "old" ride?

Does anyone know if the new latch style bag lids will fit the older (07) bags?

no, not just the lid

some aftermarket companies have been working on a kit- I have not seen, but one companies attempt was claimed to be clumsy and ugly.

you could swap the entire bag for a 14+....$$$$

I can't find it because the search function on here is tantamount to dog sh*t, but there was a post about someone who successfully put the Rushmore bags on a pre-'14 bike.

For some reason, when I search, it doesn't return results for he phrase I put in, but rather each individual word. For example, if I search for "New Saddlebags" or "Rushmore saddlebags", the returned results will be every single post where the word "new", "Rushmore" or "saddlebag" appear in. Might as well not even search...

If you haven't done so try the Advanced feature, which can search on titles only. You have to try to outwit the darned software!

Yep ... The search function leaves a lot to be desired for the average Joe ( myself included ) I believe that Keith suggested using Google then type HD Forums along with it.

There are a few threads that state you can mount the COMPLETE 14 and later bags on the earlier scooters by simply loosening the mounting hardware on the scooter then adjusting to line up with the mounting holes in the new bags.

I thought I saw "somewhere" on here that you needed to move the front hole a bit and you need to drill it or elongate the hole. You cant just make the hole bigger or move the bar around.
