Ohlins #2-2B vs. #2-4
I'm looking to get a set of Ohlins from Howard at Motorcycle Metal and wanted to know if the extra 4mm of travel makes any difference between these two shocks. From my search on the forum, it looks like the #2-2B is one of the most popular choices. I'm not looking to lower the rear end at all, so looking at the specs it looks like the #2-2B is just under stock height and the 2-4 is just over. With all that being said, 3/8" isn't much to move up slightly, but I'm not sure that the extra 4mm of travel will make a difference that I notices, so any comments are appreciated. Thanks.

The main difference between them is the extra static length of the 2-4. I suggest it is more a case of will that extra static length, hence 1/2" higher seat height, be more important to you? Ride quality of them will be pretty identical I would expect, the 4mm extra stroke may be noticeable, but I would be surprised if it is!
