I also think leaving the cat in buffers a lot of the sound so it's not loud.Ive heard V&H twin slash without a cat and there loud.Monster rounds are deep and mellow. The Cobra 909 is a great value for a quality slip on.I think maybe once the cat is removed it might be tougher to find a quieter slip on.Im leaving my cat in.The parts guys at my local dealership told me,If your going to leave your cat in,Most pipes won't be loud but will have a good rumble.

I took off my Freedom Performance Racing slip ons off my 06 FLHTI and put the on my 16 FLTRXS. Made a quick video on the difference between the stock slip ons and the FPR slip ons.

on my wife's bike, as an 'interim' step until she decided what she wanted to do, i put on a set of the cvo mufflers with the fullsac 2.0 baffles. that was 4 years ago, and she is still not in any hurry to change them out. they look good, sound good, and perform good.

+1, De-catting your header pipe the stock mufflers get a little louder and sound better.

I think the OP is still deciding. Haven't heard from him yet, as it's been awhile...unless we scared him off.

Yes they are. Got a really good deal on them on eBay a couple years ago. Was more than pleased to find out they work for HD Tourers from 96-16.

How do they sound at highway speeds? Looking for something a little more mellow while touring.
