Question andrews 57

Anybody running the new in 2014 Andrews 57 in a 95 or 98 build. I know a bunch are running the 57H in 103s. Just curious how they do in the older twin cams

Can't really help directly but it seems a lot of guys run the Andrews 48 in the 96" motors

Im in the process of a top end rebuild. Gonna use them, in a 95in with SE flat tops and ported and polished heads. 1.90-1.610 valves. Hope it runs good

Have them in my 01 FLHR. Was a great increase in power when I first got them but they really shined when I went to a 98" S&S. I have yet to push the envelope but the noticeable difference now is simply incredible. Just got through the break in period so waiting for an opportunity to see what it will do.

Stock early heads won't take the lift so folks run 37s with good results in 95s. Most 98 pistons up the compression over 10 so there are better choices. If doing headwork it is to best talk to whoever is doing the heads about cams so they match.

My heads are decked .030 for 80cc. Gonna use .030 head gasket. SE roller rockers. Head porter likes Andrews 54. Talked to Gary at Andrews and he said the 57 would be great at 10.0 or less. Should be a hair less. 9.90. I like the 37 but want to take advantage of the heads with the higher lift 57's

Big boys calculator says it will b 9.89. Corrected 9.17 at CCP 176 2100ft above sea level. Gary at Andrews said it may be a little more than that.

Funny thing is if you look at the specs the 37 has more duration at .020 than the 57. Lift is an overused and over worried about spec. How long and when you hold the valves open means more than how high.
