I'm headed there the same way I did last year, Ohio to Key West then back up to Daytona. I'm not much into bike week as such, but riding to Daytona has been my riding season kick off for many years.
Huh, me and my 2 buddies sat and talked with a guy in Daytona 2 yrs ago (2014) who did that very thing. Told us he kept his bike in the Keys for the winter and would fly down just like you're talking. I wanna say he returned during Biketoberfest.
You don't happen to ride some custom V8 type bike, white in color do ya?

Been going every year since 02 except for 3 years. (Drill Seargent school, deployment to Iraq, my sisters death.) For the 4 of us it's the beginning of our riding season also. Coming down from Atlanta!

No sir. I ride a Road King and a Super Glide. I ride the entire trip from Ohio, no matter how cold. Last year I had to wait until mid day for it to warm up to 12 F. That said, I don't give two hoots about how anybody else gets there, trailer, train, boat, etc. It's not my business.
