Is it just me or is the riding in Mrytl Beach SC area horrible I went down a few months ago and being from New England where the riding is great, I rented a bike and I found the riding bad. If I go to a rally I wanna ride not just party but that's just me. I'm gonna hold out for Laconia, Lake George or the ultimate, Sturgis. Anybody else find this to be true.

 

I always had a great time at MBBW but you cant beat the coast, lakes and mountain areas of NH and Maine.

 

I have some friends that go every year and they say the same thing but they are partiers more than riders. Nothing wrong with that to each his own but I like to do both. Guess I'm a little spoiled living in the foot hills of the Berkshire mountains in ct

 

Yeah, the area is pretty flat down there. You have to make it an Historical Trip to be worthwhile. Charleston and further comes to mind.

 

I love it. I stay in the Murrels Inlet side. My best friend lives there so its a free place to stay. I ride up every year and we always have a blast. Yea we party but with him being a local, he knows some places to ride and check out.

 

I live and ride in the mountains of WV and even though nothing will ever beat riding here. Riding along the coast with the smell of the ocean on the breeze is a wonderful thing. Especially after 4 months of winter.

 

Went there back in 07. It is flat and a lot of parties going on. We did the tourist stuff mostly and took in the people.

I go to rallies for the party, mostly. It's nice to get some riding in, no doubt. And, when I'm in Sturgis, I love riding in the Black Hills. But, when I ride to a rally, it's for the ride to the rally, and the rally. The riding is just extra fun.

 

If you go to the myrtle rally, you dont go for the riding. Im going to try the outer banks rally this year and may hit myrtle for a day or so.
