I hadthe engine cut out onmy o6 RK, when itgot hot.
I know the engine systemhas a mode which makes the rear cylinderdraw air only,
tohelp cool down, but didn't expect it to cut out.

On my 2006 RK Custom, when hot if I blip the throttle the engine can cut. I then roll on it a bit and it is fine.

My 07 Road Glide did this on me last year. I would be riding along and DEAD! Pull over, turn off key, turn back on and fire it up. Some times I would just pull in the clutch and let it back out and it would fire back up and go on it's way. Might go another 2 miles and do it again or go another 100 miles and do it again. They did a reflash first and then checked all wire connections. Still did not work! I told them I wanted parts replaced starting with the ECM. So far...........No more dieing.

I have a '05 rk custom with a carb. And to date (knock on wood), my bike hasn't died out yet. And I know it has to run really hot hauling my big @ss around. Wondering if this is a problem that may arrise. Mind you, I only have just under 5k on it. With the family, I have a hard time getting out to ride, but I swear this year will be different. The kids are almost at a age I can leave them at home alone for an hour or so. ALMOST!
