Probably been discussed ad nauseam - Guardian Bell noise
Finally found the noise culprit.
A buddy of mine bought me a guardian bell after a yosemite ride last riding season... I complained to my wife of a knock, slap, chirp while on uneven pavement...
While washing the bike... I used degreaser and got low with the wand to hose all the road grim off and slap slap slap ring knock knock...
Done with the Guardian Bells.

I have had those on my bikes in the past. Brother's Girlfriend bought me one for my VTX 1800. I had nothing but problems with it after I put it on the bike. too it off and no more issues. Aunt bought me one for Christmas a few years back and its been in the cabinet over my fridge ever since. Call me what you will but I wont install another on any bike I ever own.
