Default RK vs SG rake and trail

Harley posts the rake at 26 and the trail at 6.7 for both. How can that be with the lowered shocks on the glide assuming everything else is the same?

They are the same exact chassis. I don't see the minor difference in shocks affecting rake and trail enough to make a difference, and once you sit on it, you are going to put them both in similar shape.

If u run adjustable air ride.......you will understand what u like in a heart beat. It's a lot like castor on hot rods or race cars. Matters a bunch 5 to 7 trail is a big difference. Not a big number. But u will instantly know. Low numbers great turn in and low speed. Big number awful nice on the big end cruising but nit so forgiving in slow traffic . Both can be ridden. Just different

Yeah, I would say increasing or decreasing shocks an inch has a noticeable effect on trail.

I couldn't tell the difference between my 09 SG, 09 RKC or 09 Ultra.

Check the rake and trail of the SG Special. I think they had the 12" shocks verses 13 for regular SG and RK

The regular Street Glide and Street Glide Special are both 12" rear shocks.

The standard SG has air shocks.
The SG Special uses the newer Premium Hand adjustable rear shocks.

But they are both the same length.
