I recently bought a 2002 Road King- -and want to install 12" apes. The bars on it now have about a 8" rise, so I'm looking at replacing cables, brake lines, etc. to make this swap happen.

Looked at the carb, and it appears to have a Mikuni HSR carb on it, in place of the OEM CV carb. (what size of Mikuni, I'm not sure, just looked at the pics of the Mikuni vs the CV, and thats what it has)

Will the throttle cables for the Mikuni be the same as as what a CV carb uses?

I've seen cable and brake line "kits" for swapping bars, and am wondering if the kit for a Road king, with carb will work, or if it will take different cables than standard.

 

The mikuni uses stock harley cables or any other cables for cv carb, i did the conversion and no issues
