2003 Road King Police tach wiring

My brother has a 2003 Road King Police bike and it has a tach mounted on top of the nacelle. He would like to remove the tach and put a windshield back, but not sure where that tach wire connects to.

Does anyone know where it ends? If its a plug? and best way to remove it without messing up wiring?

should plug in the harness near the speedo on the dash. At least that is where it was on my 2004 unplug it no problem

Just follow the wire, it has a 3 pin plug on it.

It's probably in the headlight bucket. Should be able to follow it and disconnect workout removing the nacelle.

I just replaced my stock speedo on my 03 RK Classic this weekend and the wire you are looking for is either under the counsel or like mine behind the head light. It is a 'pink" wire. Just did mine three days ago.
