I'm not sure if H-D does it any more but there used to be certain color schemes that were only available in limited production for part of the year that were "factory custom" and for which they charged a premium price. For the factory custom colors they always had the gold "painted" look name on the tank rather than a 3-D nameplate. The apple green/black color combinations was one of those "customs" in 2011 (as was mine). I had the same on my 2008 Sportster which was also in a factory custom scheme.

Yep, this was a limited run color from about Feb to May 2011. And you're right, the name plate/decal was a gold leaf I believe. In 2011 they also did the Psychodelic Purple combo too.
The past few years though, I haven't seen anything come out that was factory custom. Not Sure what happened to the program...

How much are the rushmore's. I paid 11.5 for my 2011 flhrc in October with just under 12k miles on it. I thought I did pretty good in the Seattle market. Has stage 1 done and was in great shape. I think you got a deal. My 2011 is in sig pic, looks a lot different but I did keep the cool blue pearl!

Here's a picture of the new tank emblems mocked up. Final placement will be pretty close to this I think...

Dream Machines of Texas had one of each on their showroom, back in Dec.2014. How cool was that?

Apple Green was the rarest color in 2011,with only 108 units. Psychedelic Purple was the 2nd rarest, with only 175. Funny thing,I looked hard at an Apple Green EG before deciding on our Psychedelic Purple SG.

I own a CAG/VB Street Glide, and had to LITERALLY hunt it down to find the color combo two years ago. 26 hour roundtrip to get it.
I never noticed that the layout of the colors were different between the models. My tank is not laid out like your's at all. Also, I have never seen any official stats about total number of bikes painted this color.
To the OP, what actual paint brand/code are you using to match the original paint?
