I never noticed that the layout of the colors were different between the models. My tank is not laid out like your's at all. Also, I have never seen any official stats about total number of bikes painted this color.

To the OP, what actual paint brand/code are you using to match the original paint?

Yeah, the Street Glide, Ultra Limited, Road King Classic, and Ultra Classic all have different paint layouts for this color. One of the things I didn't like was that the previous owner added hard bags from an Ultra Classic and the Vivid Black was way too high up on the sides. The Green Apple was smothered on the bags, IMHO.

As for the paint codes, I am not sure. I do know that my painter called his supplier/paint shop and they were able to look up the codes and order the paint. I believe it's a single stage paint, so just shoot the green and clear. Nothing too tricky.

So, today I got all the parts back from paint! It turned out exactly as I was hoping and looks great.

The biggest things that have been redone is that the tank decals were replaced with the metal RKC emlems, the bags were laid out differently, similar to the stock Street Glide paint layout for this color, and the side panels had black added.

Additionally, the rear fender was replaced with a 2009 Street Glide fender, eliminating all the holes on the rear end and having the holes pre-drilled for the rear fascia. The stock Street Glide fender for this color didn't have the cutout for the taillight, and it is also all green - no Vivid Black.

The UPS truck also paid me a visit today - finally got the last of the big things I needed to get reassembly going from Boardtracker Harley. I'm still expecting a few more things, but at least I'm not at a holding point.

Anyway, enough of my ramblings, time to let the pictures do the talking.

Very nice paint job. I'd be a nervous wreck putting the bike back together for fear of damaging the paint. For some reason I've been coming around to liking green and have never liked it. Looks great.

I put CVO bags on my '06 RKC and they look awesome. Painter even matched the pin striping from my tank to the bags and Woody's Fairing I installed. Nothing like taking these bikes and making them your own. Yours is going to look incredible when all back together!

looks great. Lot of work but I'm sure it'll be worth it in the end.
