Go to Ace Hardware and buy black plastic plugs that snap in.

Harley makes plugs for that very thing, though they're about $1.95 per plug, if I remember right. I bought mine without asking the price thinking they'd be somewhere around $.75-$1 per......but I got banged on that one!

They do fit tight, and make the bike look a touch more "finished". I would bet that you can find something at Home Depot that would work for cheaper, but whether you want to invest that much energy into it is up to you. In hindsight I probably wouldn't do it any differently, but I did get hit with sticker shock.

Just stopped by Harley and they referred me to Ace.. they did not know of anything that could plug the hole other than another Bolt

I got mine at lowes. Dirt cheap. 5/16. They don't fit real tight, but none have fallen out .

You can use.... short SS, Chrome or Black bolts, black plastic plug or chromed plugs.

Whatever you use, shoot the hole w/ WD40 or oil or something to prevent more rust inside.
