When I need to add air to my tires, I use the Slime Digital Air Compressor that I keep in a saddlebag. Small and compact. Set the psi you want, it cuts off when it reaches that setting.
Note the slim, straight fitting that screws on the valve stem - goes right down beside the spoke fairly easy. Hose is long and slim enough to fit in there fairly easy, still a PITA.
I have not found a more compact compressor to carry on our bikes, that gets between the spokes without the fat head that won't connect with some of our rear tubed spoke wheels.

Harley makes a simple valve stem extension. When buying some parts online few years back, I bought two as add-ons, were like $6 each. Well worth the $$ after busted knuckles trying to check/put air in rear (or front for that matter)

Default Checking Tire Pressure

I found it to be such a pita that I bought a Longacre tp gauge. It comes with 2 tips and is liquid filled. It isn't cheap but it works very well.
I also don't want to start the air vs nitrogen debate again but with the nitrogen I don't get any variation in tire pressure.

I will let you know when I get mine. On my SG I can't get the Harley hose adapter unscrewed without losing a pound or two of air.

would like that. i always seem to break the 90 degree lock on type filler hose. maybe i just by poor quality but i don't think so. they never seem to hold up. hence the interest in the 90 degree cap shown earlier.
