Im wanting to install one of these on my 09 FLHX because im not too fond of the ugly tail light on the rear fender. The 10-13's dont have them and i cannot find a cheap 10-13 fender to have painted. the cycle visions eliminator i can get for $295 on ebay and really cleans up the rear fender. My question is they make them for 99-08 FLH and 10-13 FLH but not for 09? is there any significant difference between 08-09 except the frame or is the fender and tail light design the same?

09 should mount the same as the 10-13. The wiring is most likely the difference. I was running an Eliminator on my 11 EGC. I installed the SG rear fascia and used a Custom Dynamics tri-bar light with run and brake. I remember I had to order the tri-bar light from CD that was compatible with the 06-09 so it would plug into the taillight. I think the 10-13 SG's have the wiring going to the tri-bar first. I'm out of town working and can't reference my service manual right now to verify that.

 

My question was more about if it fits over the hole cut out in the fender for the tail light in the 09's because the 10-13's dont have the hole. wiring isnt so much of an issue ill make that work, i just want to make sure it fits correctly
