Just wondering how you went about securing your upper fork leg so you could tighten your fork top bolts to the required 50-60 ft/lbs. I've got the forks off the bike, having just finished installing Progressive Monotube cartridges.

 

I held mine in a vice with aluminum jaws and leather around the tubes. Or when they are back on the triple trees tighten it up

 

Use the lower triple tree.

 

The same way you loosen them; lowered some below the top triple clamp and held by the pinch bolts in the lower triple clamp.
