Default Avon custom contour vs HD Get-A-Grips

I put on the Nostalgic grips, and the ribbing seems to cut off circulation and mak my hands fall asleep.

Should have kept my stock grips, but I sold them, so I'm looking at these 2 grips. The look is similar and the prices are some what close if I go through Boardtracker for the HD ones.

Opinions???

I've never tried the Avons, but after my hands kept going numb on my last bike, I put on the Magnum Get-A-Grips. They were so good and so comfortable that they were one of the first things I did with my new RGS.

Of the grips I've personally tried, they're the most comfortable.

I'd like to find some grips with less girth.

I'm a big fan of Avon, nearly all of my bikes have grips from them.

Lovin the Avons here. I run the air grips. Best thing about avons is that sleeve inside the left grip tucks inside your switch housing and does not require any glue to install. Tighten screws on your housing and they are rock solid. No rotation, no slip. Rock solid.

Had Get A Grips, now have Avon air cushion. I like the Avon grips better. no numbing or tingling. Look good, feel good.

I had bought a set of the Harley Get a Grips for my wife's Sportster and liked them so much that I wanted a set for my Road King. I saw the Avon version a decided to give them a try and I like them as well. The Harley ones are a bit heavier and may cut down on some bar vibration but the Avons are very well built, comfortable and look good. I'm glad I bought them and will again if I need new grips.

Sounds like I can't go wrong with either, so I ordered a set of Avons. Decision was solely based on the lesser price. Got the set on Revzilla for $53 - no tax, free shipping. Board tracker has the get a grips for $67 + $7 shipping. Not a huge difference I. Price, but that $19 will go in my gas tank.

The Avons arrived via UPS today. Put them on tonight, but didn't ride with them yet.

I had the Avons on my bike for a week and sold them. I like a thicker grip with more cushion. I liked the look of the Avons but my hands would go to sleep from the vibration, the rubber seemed too hard. I ended up with Arlen Ness Deep Cuts, they are fantastic!
