Nobody is going to loose anything. They may *lose* something, but they will not loose anything.

Just went Bassani true duals from stock headpipe on my Road King, do it for the sound alone, it's awesome. No racing for me.

I'm asking because I really love the sound of a true dual head pipe and I've heard so many conflicting stories. I'm currently running a 2-1-2 S&S headpipe.

Just post up, no one is gonna go to fists over it. Just curious.
I went from the stock header (cat removed) to the VHTD's and noticed a distinct low end power loss. Took awhile to tune it back but it was a PITA. When time and $ allowed I went to a ProPipe (2-1) and it felt good to get my low-end torque back.
Mixed messages about loss from one member to another, but I noticed it and I have no engine mod's but pipes and intake.

To the O.P. , if you like true duals then go for it. I've had both Rinehart true duals and a S&S 2-1-2 setup. I honestly notice no difference. I'm sure on paper my hp/torque curves may have changed but I can't tell by the seat of my pants.
Perfect!

If noise is what you want then go for it! Personally I don't want to loose the 0 to 80 torque. If top end is your thing then there you go.

All good, I love the talk. Exhaust is my fav subject. Yeah, I like the true dual sound. I've never been chasing HP/TQ. Kinda wonder if I should've saved my money on selling the RCX 4" for the RCX 4.5" and bought some true duals to replace my S&S instead.....the name of the game I guess.

On another note, the FLHXS is 1 year old this week and I now have 16,700mi on it. I bought new with 10miles on the clock. Sold my WideGlide for it. Best decision I ever made...although my bank accnt would not concur. Lol

Great topic. Lets hear from more Rushmore owners. Does the HO103 supplement some of that TQ loss? I would also like to get as close as possible to the old school sound of a carb with a big cam. Old skool sound without the old skool problems.

Oh BTW, Keithhu, I purposely spelled skool that way, all the cool kids are doing it these days!
