Yea, not buying that skewed post. Sorry, if your tune is on before you don't magically find 20hp with only a pipe swap unless your combo is bad and nobody is using fishtails like that guy and looking for peak numbers. Certain combos will run better but it don't prove true duals are bad, worked for that guys combo, may not work for yours. Also a dyno is only a tuning tool, peak numbers on one dyno can be lower on others, it provides a starting point to move forward from.

It varies. Different builds, different exhausts. Not all 2:1 are the same. Not all 2:2 are the same. There isn't one holy grail version of either that is the best for every build. There's no way to know on your bike without running them on your bike.

Here's an example of 2-2, 2-1-2, and 2-1 that doesn't agree with the experience others have cited here. In this example, the 2-1-2 is the worst on the bottom, the 2-1 is the worst in the middle, and the 2-2 is the best of both until 5k where it starts to fall off but you'll hear time and time again that 2-2 is going to kill bottom end. Well how does that explain this? It can't, because it's just not that simple.

If you're not doing cams I think it's safe to say it won't matter much what you run. I do have 2-2 on my street and I weigh 320# and it gets me around just fine but it might be a completely different story with a V&H 2-2 or a rinehart 2-2

Sure thing.

No two dynos read the same due to many factors so if you are tuning the best results will come from a baseline run, then modify from there but use the same dyno every time preferably with the same weather conditions to minimize error and variables. Dyno error could even be induced by what gear the bike/car is in when the pull is made and it's relatively easy to tune for a high hp number under WOT but real world driving could be abysmal, much harder to tune for real world.
