There's a local guy around me that will do a touring bike for 1600 for a single color if you take all the parts to him.. Anything over 1 color is more obviously.. I've toyed with the idea of a new paint job but I can't justify that much money and then have to maintain that crap

I had my 04 roadglide, painted chopper blue for 1500 and I took of and re mounted the tins and lowers

Good to hear that you are ok. Paint will depend on how much body work and any color with red in it cost goes up

I think you are premature in thinking about paint, I think it is totaled based on your statements.

colormania has sets ready to go in short order and also have many factory sets from customer exchanges. They used to be the supplier for HD numbered sets. Quick turnaround. Disclaimer: I've never used them but it might be your quicker turnaround.

Depending on the amount of damage, could be several thousand. Insurance should cover the cost. Glad you're still with us brother, sounds like a nasty one!

Last time I priced paint, I found this to be true. Found a complete set of take-off tins for a lot less than painting. However, it did take a while to find the exact color I wanted.
