While not mounted externally, I keep a small insulated soft side lunch bag in my saddle bag or tour pack. I also always keep a couple of frozen plastic water bottles in my freezer. Before leaving for a ride, I usually toss a couple of refrigerator cold water bottles in the bag along with the 2 frozen bottles. The frozen bottles keep the non-frozen bottles cold. By the time those are gone, the frozen bottles have started to melt and I have ice water again. This method generally keeps me in cold water all day.

My wife bought me a hydro flask last year for our trip to Sturgis and Calif. Keeps the beverage nice and cold for about 5-6 hrs. even in the hot weather. While on the way back cross country I forgot to tighten the cap down. It vibrated loose and fell off. When I got back hone I went on line and searched the net to buy a new cap. There was a question as to the size for the cap. I contacted Hydro Flask and explained the situation. The girl was very helpful an said she would warranty the lost cap, even after I told her it was might fault for loosing it due to not tightening it. A week later I had a new cap. Now that's customer service.

i've got one from thermos http://www.shopthermos.com/detail/TMS+HS4080CHTRI6 that goes in a holder on my lowers i got from cpt itch http://shop.captain-itch.com/Cup-Hol...-Glove-Box.htm fits great without the coozie. thing i like about it is that i can use it with one hand and take a sip while riding or while at a traffic light. it will keep ice in there all day. carry extra water to throw in or pick up a bottle when you stop for fuel.
