Default 2007 Street Glide Gear Ratio - What's everybody doing to fix it?

I have a 2007 Street Glide and between above 35, but below 50mph there just doesn't seem to be a smooth gear. Then again at about 60 I have the same issue. I spend most of my time over in the Dyna forum and the guy's with 2007 Dynas talk about the gearing on the 2007 Dyna's being less than optimal. I think what they typically do is a 30 tooth main sprocket and a 70 tooth rear sprocket. Is that the same deal for my 2007 Street Glide, or is my issue completely different? I have a little bit of noise in my primary that I want to track down, and I think my shift shaft seal might be leaking so I'm going to be pulling the primary apart anyway, if there is a different sprocket that would make my bike behave better, I might as well install it while I've got it exposed.

I had the same complaint with my 07 EGlide and then my current 09 Softail which had the same gearing. I changed up to an SE compensator while in the primary and swapped the 46 tooth sprocket for Evo Industries 49 tooth which came supplied with the correct length primary chain. That was 4 years ago, a pricey ratio change but well worth it for me.

'09 has different gearing than '07 & '08.

30 front, 68 rear on my 07 Streetglide. Transformed the rideability. Turns about 2850 - 2900 at 70. One of the best changes I've made.

49 tooth ring gear conversion by EVO Ind. Have TTS tuner which got my 6th gear light back.

TTS can also alter the primary ratio to correct the speedo whereas I don't think Sepst can.
The route pworks went might be more economical.

Are you using the stock OEM 2007 Street Glide final drive belt?

Yes I am. At first I just installed the 30 tooth sprocket when I had to rebuild the crank and the engine was out. The mechanic used a one tooth shorter belt from Falcon. Lasted a short time before it shredded and left me on the side of the road. Put a 68 tooth sportster pulley on with the stock Harley / Gates?? Belt and its lasted just fine. Made the gearing better too.
