Default parade fan - where to mount horn

08 Road King with Parade fan
The fan is mounted on the L side where the horn normally resides

Any hints on where to mount the horn?

Buy Wards Werks fans instead of the parade fan. They work better and are compatible with the OEM horn,

Or if you already bought it and don't have abs, you should have an empty abs box under your right side cover which houses the room for two automotive type horns which will blow your butt off.

The fans I have seen mounted have the horn in between both fans. Like its stock position.

If you get a different horn, Like the badlands billet horn, round, it will mount right at the top of the downtubes right behind the front wheel. Still allows good noise there and is completely out of the way

I bought the bike with the HD parade fan mounted in the horn position and no horn. Bike has ABS and an oil cooler
I now need to mount a horn for the safety inspection so that I can get it licensed in BC.

Yes I could remove the fan, mount a horn, inspect, and remove; but long run I am going to want a horn that will wake the dead or a sleeping cage driver

guess you don't like the top of the downtube idea?

On Touring bikes that have the H-D parade fan accessory installed, the stock horn (without the chrome cover) is relocated on the right front tank mount bolt with an "L" shaped bracket. I added a parade fan to one of the police bikes my (former) department had and the horn was relocated to the front of the right side of the fuel tank with provided bracket. It didn't improve the sound of it but it did get it mounted.

Just an option. A couple of chrome P-clamps, coupling nuts and Fiamm horns.
