Default Slip-on slip-up Muffler mania

So, I read some reviews and looked around awhile and I ordered the DNA Megaphone mufflers. For me, they are WAY too loud. Rendering my stereo useless and basically causing nails to vibrate out of my neighbors roofs. I know this is a very subjective area here. But I'm looking to just get a bit more rumble than stock. I have an 05 Ultra FI with stage one AC. Any reasonable suggestions? My stealership says get Cobra slip on's. Any opinions would be appreciated. And if anyone needs some DNA Magaphones I'll make you a deal. Just want something slightly beefier than stock. Thanks.

Default Newer stock mufflers

I put a set of much newer stock mufflers on my 04, they sound great. The newer mufflers are more " open " ,or free flowing due to the cat being upstream in the system. They sound good and run good, and they're so cheap they are almost free.

I actually had a set of Road King mufflers laying around and installed them this evening. I swear they are just slightly louder and they sound great! I'm going to try some newer model stock and compare. Thanks for the info!

This right here! I'm in the same boat and my buddy has Cobras. Always thought they were more for the metrics, but his 2016 SG Special sounds incredible with them! He thinks they're too quiet, I think mine are too loud, so we're thinking of making the switch.

My Vance and Hines slash cuts were not that loud. Made me pull the baffles to make a little louder. No sounds more like a Harley should. Still not loud enough for me.

If you want a set of 13 or 14 Road King slip-ons for free, let me know (I see you're in Ohio).
