Default 08 street glide build

Hello everyone
I recently bought an 08 street glide with 60.000 kms on it and I want to do a build this winter

It already has true duals , intake and tuner(which is the older black one)

So far I'm thinking
Ss .551 ez start cams
Ss 79cc super stock heads
Thundermax with auto tune

Anything else I should maybe do at the same time that would be a benifit?

As long as you're pulling the heads ... might as well go big bore ... which means the 551 might give way to ... perhaps S&S 570 ... ?

Someone told me the older ones were useles for tuning these days and my buddy has the t max auto tune and swears by it

I think the part number ends in 01a I believe it's a black one without the red button on it

It came with the bike when I bought it

I'm now looking at maybe the se 204 cams and thundermax and keep it a 96 and spend my money on some bars I don't need a drag bike just something that pulls good

With 60 .000 kms on it what else should I be replacing other than cam tensioners this was one of the resins I was leaning towards 103 kit to freshen it up a bit

Any thoughts and input would be appreciated

No need to deal with cam chain tensioners. They are a non issue on the 07 and up. My bike is a stock 96 with 15000 kms more than yours (9000 miles). Other than Y pipes no issues. You'll be fine.

I would suggest looking for some '14 later take offs. Jugs pistons and cams are being pulled off the HO's all the time. Bars are a huge improvement, and I suggest starting with comfort.
