So, I just dropped her...

Here's a link to the process. I hope it will help for your year.

Basically turn your ignition on but do not start.
Press and hold the trip meter button.
Thereafter, each press of the button will bring up a code if there is one.
If there is one, press and hold the button and that clears it.
Turn off ignition.

Don't feel alone nor lonely on dropping the ride, I dropped my '03RK on our first long trip, trying to make too tight a Uey into a hotel parking lot with sand on the surface, dropped my 1981 BRAND NEW Yamaha XS1100 three days after pulling out of the dealer, dropped my 2012 RGU on her maiden long trip, was sitting still, engine off and left foot just left and down we went. Minor damages, loads of ego issues but time heals all and the first scratch should always be your own install.

I had owned my 08 Ultra for 3 days before dropping it at the dealers after riding from Calgary to Vancouver. Pulled into the lot and turned it into the spot, went to back up and that's when I realized I didn't have reverse or a sidecar on this bike. It was amazing to watch 3 people run up and lift it back up for me so fast. Its been a month now and I seem to remember now.
What was the video you watched?

For those who don't know, the Motorman will show you.
Also, if you are a new rider you should consider his full course. You won't believe how much confidence it will give you.

Have yet to drop my 14 sgs, fingers crossed on that one. But dropped my previous Hayabusa twice. 1st time was the very next day after buying it brand new, started it up on the kickstand in the driveway while I suited up, driveway on slight incline, bike rolled right off the kickstand and down she went. 2nd time was taking it off of the stands I used for it, went to lean it to the side and by the time I realized the kickstand wasn't flipped out she was nearly laying upside down on the driveway. Miraculously the bike only suffered a very small scuff or 2 dropping it twice

I've had my '10 Electra Glide for about 10 days now. Went for a nice little 150 mile ride today, make it all the way home, pull in the front yard instead of the driveway, hit a hole that's been there ever since I bought the place, and immediately drop her.
I got on YouTube to figure out "how to pick up a Harley Davidson", tried to do it, and realized I'm too friggin big & tall to get that low.
I put one hand on the top side saddlebag guard, one hand on the dropped side handlebat, pushed & pulled, and ta-daaa!
Back upright. No problem.
Anyway, I'm sure you seasoned vets out there already know how to do this. I was just proud of myself for improvising and overcoming.
