Default air shock

2010 ultra limited. How often do you have to check the air pressure in the air shocks. Thanks

How often do you HAVE to check?! In my experience not very often at all, as in my 25 years of using air shocks and forks they don't change much. Cold or hot weather may affect them and carrying a passenger or lots of luggage warrants changing them. By all means check them often, until you find a frequency you are happy with. If you don't have the owners manual you can download one on the H-D website, go to the Owners tab.

So far I've found once a month to be a reasonable interval. I've yet to find that they have lost air. I go on about one longish multi day ride per month and I adjust them then according to whether I will be riding solo or two up.

After a two up ride I generally don't bother airing them down until my next long solo trip, they still work fine at the higher air pressure since I've changed the shock fluid to a heavier weight.
