Default Cam tensioner

I know the cam tensioner threads have been beat to death and I'm sure everyone is tired of reading them, but I really appreciate any help.
I have a 2003 screamin eagle roadking that is due for a cam tensioner up grade and I have access to the tensioner and cams that came out of an 08 ultra with a 103.
Will the tensioner from the 08 work on my 03?

The cam plate will ,and the tensioners will, but the cams will not fit, you would have to go with a conversion cam that will fit the inner bearings of the 88" style cases with the outer fitting the 96" style cam plate.

Which is a good way to do it IMO, I did it with S&S parts, and Andrews 21 conversion cams.

Well crap, I was hoping it would be a free temporary fix to get me by until winter.

I may be completely wrong here, but if your 03 is stock....I dont believe the 2003 SE 103 came with Hydraulic Cam Tensioners. The 08 did. The cam plate, tensioners and oil pump are all different. I could be just putting my boot in my mouth.

We just came out with new cam chain tensioners, and will work on your bike with our hydraulic cam plate upgrade. --S&S
