Default Who buys a CVO Limited?

Serious question. What type of person drops 40k+ on a CVO Ultra Limited?

I cringed paying what I did for my used 2013 Street Glide, lol. The price for these things is off the charts!

There are folks who are financially able to pay, there are folks who are not. Too rich for my blood but those who can I say great.

The person that wants all the bells and whistles, and can afford them ...
I have looked at, sat on, and even drooled on a couple CVO Road Glides....
It comes down to "bling vs coin", and there is too much bling for my coin.

Why do you ask? There are cars a darned sight more expensive which get buyers, so I suppose the answer is anyone who can afford one and wants it. A pal of mine bought a new one and loves it, uses it as his only transport, year round.

Before i bought my 14 Limited I was looking at used EG's saying I"d never pay 25k for a motorcycle. Told a friend that had just got a new Street glide, he was nuts for spending that kinda money. I rode the 14 while looking at used ones, it's all history now.

Overall i like the CVO Limited. I just can't justify the cost and I can usually justify anything, if I try hard enough. I guess if I were going to add all kinds of bling to a non CVO, I might do it. At least at that point you have a bike that can get you some of that money back based on vehicle values. I think I'm too value conscience to actually spend that kind of money on a hobby.

I have friends that own CVO's. Some can justify it and afford them. The others justified it and can't afford them.

Someone who wants one bad enough I guess. I could afford one but I can't justify it. I've bought trucks that cost that much and I choked paying it but you can't get a decent truck for less now. BUT you can get nice bikes for half that. Similar to trucks that cost 75k now. I can't justify that when I've got all I needed for half that.

I agree.. new truck prices are crazy. I've been looking at 3/4 ton trucks and what i want starts at 50k. I can't bring myself to pay that. Everyone says [including my accountant] to buy the truck and write it off. Might be good tax advice, I still can't do it. I just don't see the value.

The ones who can really afford it, pay cash. Other folks pay every month for 6-8 years, and end up paying double the cost from the dealer. I rarely buy vehicles new. Motorcycles, trucks, etc. All because I refuse to pay interest on luxury items.
