Default Ultra Limited Accessories

I'm sure this has been asked a dozen times, but I'll ask again. I found a great deal on a 2016 Ultra Limited, so I'm going to trade in my Road King for it. I need some suggestions on accessories, since the deal was so good, I can afford to add a few items in on the financing.

I know from having a Road King that I want some of the more common items like highway pegs, a backrest, and windshield bag, but what else do I need to consider since I'm going to that particular bike? For example, I'm thinking about adding a tour pack liner and lid organizer at the time of purchase. I was just curious whether some folks loved things like that or found they wasted money. I would appreciate any input folks have on the subject. Thanks.

Front and rear suspension upgrade
Taller bars
Better seat with backrest
Exhaust
Air cleaner
Tune
Long Ride Shields Windshield
Highway pegs

Those would be my absolute minimums on my Ultra Limited to prepare for the long hauls.

Other than that, non critical, but worth looking into is a windshield bag, LED's, upgraded audio, appearance items, cams, etc

Wink

Take a browse of the H-D website, go to the Shop tab, where you can enter your new bike and see everything the MoCo makes for it. Of course you don't have to buy the brand, but there should be stacks of ideas to feed your imagination.

After purchasing my Limited in September of last year I have only added the following.

1. Shorter tinted windshield
2. Windshield bag
3. Tour pak full lid liner/organizer.
4. Highway pegs
5. Adjustable passenger pegs
6. Saddle bag guard storage bags..............Wife sticks her insulin pump in there if we get caught in the rain.

If you still have the OEM parts from your King, you can switch out your King accessories and put them on that Limited otherwise you'll have to start from scratch.

Might try asking for some of the things you already mentioned as freebies in the deal.

That P&A book is your friend.

I added a Tour Pack relocator to my 2011. Gives the wife a couple extra inches of room. She also got a cup holder that mounts behind the rear speaker housing. When Momma's happy, everyone is happy.

I put it a Tour Pack "ultra brace" from J&P Cycles. The lid tether cable is in a box in the garage.

2012 Streetglide wheels and tires

LED brake and tail lights.

Mustang saddlebag lid covers.

Love Jugs cooling fans.

Future plans, as time and money permit:

"Rockout" rocker shaft inserts

Howard's Ohlins shocks.

Upgraded LED front lighting.
