Default 14 limited to 16 CVO Street Glide

Do you guys think going from a 14 limited to a 16 CVO Street Glide is a step down? My limited is paid for and has a stage one upgrade its a nice ride. would u keep the limited put money into it or go with the 16 CVO. I mostly ride 1 up 99.99 percent of time. Take several long trips a year.

Your limited is paid for? Keep it.
Unless you have to have the shark bike. It is certainly not a step down.
I personally would keep the Limited...give it a few years and see how the M8's shake out with any new issues and or manufacturing problems....
Owning an 05 Ultra, I'm certainly keeping an eye on a newer bike, until I ride mine.
Then I'm over the "shiny new" idea...with PAYMENTS.

Make that tourpak detachable, if you haven't already, and change the seat a bit and you have a dang nice SGS if you want. That Stage I comes close to the 110 motor but yours run cooler. Aside from the 110, it's just more bling on the CVO than your Limited.

I might wait another year or two and then spend that extra cash you'll be saving.

i concur,,,, id make the tour pack detachable, get a solo seat...for me id also remove the lowers and floor boards and put on forwards.... if you have a stage 1 103 HO it will hang with a 110 all day long....buddy has a 110 slim special...we go back and forth its down to driver reaction time.....i would not trade in for a bike just two years newer, just for a CVO motor especially when a 114 cvo motor just hit the market....

Paid off bike is king. I spent a few hundred and turned my Ultra into a SG. You can score fenders on eBay for 300 bucks all day long and turn around and sell yours for the same amount for a break even. Grab yourself a quick detach kit. For the money you will lose on trade you could get a 120ST and plop it in your Ultra and still come out ahead.

Definitely not a step down. Lots of nice parts on the CVO, unique paint, unique wheels, unique sounds, and greater resale value years down the line. If I could afford it, the CVO would be in my garage...

I had an 11 limited and going from that to a 14 RK (tried to buy a 10 CVO SG but they sold it that morning). I liked the lighter bike because I don't take many long trips any more, a couple a year.
The thing I feel about CVO is they are special models and if you modify them too much, they lose their value quicker. Now there are so many of them, they are not "unique" anymore and it has become more of a status symbol like a corvette or 4 door lifted diesel truck ($70K) if you can afford it, go for it if it is what you want.

I would have a CVO if I had that kind of money. The other thing, the Limited is heavy and bulky and not good for beating around town for me. So I would go for the SG for that reason, and you can get a tourpak and ride long trips.
So, depends on funds I guess. If funds are tight, buy the dock kit and remove the tourpak when you don't need it. If you don't need it anyway and can afford it, get the CVO.

That's what I would do. A lot cheaper than getting a new bike, especially since your ultra is paid for.
