I did mine the first weekend after I bought it. Really helped with the heat under my wife's foot. Hopefully you disconnected the battery on the bike before welding up the pipe. Not a good thing for the battery or the alternator to weld on a bike or vehicle without disconnecting the battery.

Took all necessary precautions. Running good and the sound is more than "slight". Petty big difference. In a good way. It really let the Monster Oval sound like they should. Deep and a good bark when I want the to bark. Weather has been cool so I can't give a review on the heat issue yet. Any relief will be appreciated. The SE 110 Is a hot ****.

Good job, thanks for posting.
Less than a year after I bought my bike, I went with Power Duals to get rid of the cat, and noticed a heck of an improvement on the heat. Right side of the bike used to feel like an oven, almost unbearable in stop and go BS. I was coordinating my rides to avoid those situations, but with the heat greatly reduced, I just ride. Sound really improved too, especially on the decel. Vicious snarl, too.
I think you will be pleased.
