Vivid Black - It's a love / hate relationship

+1 for keeping it black. Try some Poor Boys "Blackhole" polish. I highly recommend it. Also the Harley spray cleaner/polish is great between polishes to remove the dust. As I got older I stopped buying black cars/trucks and started buying white but my bikes are black. If you get tired of all black, think about adding some rally or pin stripes to break it up. My two cents and for some reason I always seem to respond to the black bike questions.

In the summer I wash it atleast once a week then hit it with jet black, mines old and this stuff is great for keeping it looking new. I get compliments on a regular basis & most think it's newer unless they know harleys pretty well. Had one guy that even owns a sportster think it was a new bike this year. The original owner is amazed at how well it looks. I have also shined and replaced some of the chrome that was flaking, but the paint is original.
OP bike is shining for sure, now that it's fall I don't clean as much riding today and have been all weekend with bugs, dust with rain drops. Love the fall riding though fall colors won't last much longer.

As stated above the less you touch black the better.
I made the mistake and didnt have the painter put some pearl in the clear coat on my new extended bags, fender and side covers. In time I'll be changing front fender, extended tank covers and painting inner fairing any ways, re clearing fairing would be only thing left to match the rest.
Lessons learned I guess...

I use this after a clay bar treatment and it is truly unbelievable. A little work but worth the effort. A cleaner, wax, and 2 bottles of detailer all in one designed for black. It really gives it a glossy, wet look.
