Default Vivid Black - It's a love / hate relationship

Just spent 3+ hours cleaning compounding and polishing this beast. Man when it's freshly done there's nothing better, but let it go for the season, and it starts looking tired and old. I was starting to feel like my bike that I bought new 1 year ago allready looked old.

Vivid black is tough, been thinking about painting it, or possible buying a set of take off tins in the hard candy gold flake or the olive color. - so damn expensive though, expensive enough that it may be worth trading before doing that.

Anyway here is a shot of the finished product.

I loved all my black bikes, until I had to polish them. No more black bikes.

I thought I'd miss having a black bike. My current bike can be so dusty but I can't tell until I swipe it. It's nice. Especially when you're a neat freak. Still waxed it today though ;-).

My vivid black looks amazing...the less you touch it the better.

All I do is:
1: Gently wash with soap and water
2: spray on and gently wipe off some black magic spray detailer'
3: Hit it with mothers california gold synthetic wax

Looks ****ing amazing every time.

Black is the only proper color for a motorcycle...

No more black bikes. They get dirty easy.

Put me down for the love category. Since I was a kid black was it. When I went looking for a bike I wouldn't consider any other besides black. Plus it's the fastest color (see my sig).

I am definitely old school. Back in the 70's when I got my first Harley I met an old rider who told me "Harleys only come in two colors ....... black and ugly!". Well, all these years later I still have a black Harley. Don't get me wrong ..... I think many of the colors are gorgeous. However, when it comes to what I own and ride it has always been and will always be Black and Chrome!

After detailing my b lack ultra I throw a couple of old flannel bed sheets over her to prolong the need for the next detail.
