Check out your vin.......Mine is a 07 Fire fighter Special Edition........has the FL designation in the vin.....

From NEW it's SUPPOSED to be sold to a certified FF....whether Volunteer or Career......need docs to prove it.......after that they can be sold to anyone.

I'm sure I've read that if a dealer has one on the shop floor for longer than a certain time they can sell it to any buyer. I spoke to a dealer many years ago who had a red FF special and he said it was for sale if I wanted it. I was visiting from the UK!

 

The two tone blue on in my sig pic was a Peace Office Edition. Look on line for the colors for a given year and you will see some set aside

 

no FL, a FWM. and this one was a trade in on a trike, so it is used, 2013.

 

the FW on a 13 designates a FLHR SHRINE.....so...either Police bike, Firefighter, or Shriner's bike.......

 

the paper work i got with the bike say all of that = Fire/Peace Shrine, again it is black.

 

My dealer, who knows me, had to copy my department ID and include it in the deal paperwork.

 

Like I said...SOME firefighter bikes were black.......
