Ok, so you are saying the 5th and 6th digits of the VIN are FW, which is FLHR Road King Shrine.

(The M is for the 103 motor)

Available colors for that year and bike were:
ARCTIC WHITE W/ GOLD AND RED STRIPES
CONCORD PURPLE W/ VIOLET AND BURGUNDY STRIPES

I am guessing that the special Shriner's decal on the tank isn't there either?

Mine is a 2007 RK Peace Officer Special Edition. I know it's original because I ordered it. It's black with blue pinstripes. I had to provide a copy of my credentials and a letter from my department confirming my employment. On my title it says it is a FLHR - Shrine Edition. I contacted HD and was informed that all PO, FF and Patriot bikes are assembled at the same time as the Shriner bikes and they are all identified as Shriner models on the title.

The poster who mentioned you do not have to be a FF LEO or Soldier to purchase one of these models new is also correct nowadays. Dealers can order a limited amount as spec bikes with the intent to sell them to one of these professionals. My dealer did that last year with 2 Ultras. One was a FF the other was a PO. After 3 months there were no takers so they were sold to civilians. I don't know if 3 months is the cutoff or not.

Hope this helps.

Newer Special Editions have a HD chrome badge the same as the other big twins on the tank. The Moco then has chrome inserts that go above and below the HD chrome script that designate the model as PO or FF. Your sounds like it is a FF edition that has had the inserts removed. I have seen a black FF edition.

ill take a pic of the badge this morning. some one said something about a fairing having something on it, seeing as i bought it with a aftermarket fairing that would explain no emblems on it.

With the pinstripes, it looks like a FF edition. The police version usually has blue pinstripes. No other black bike has those color strips.
