I Have a 14 SG and got 4 1/2 stretched bags for Christmas. Looking to make sure they don't drag. I have stock premium adjustable (12") on right now and looks like it will probably drag. My question is "will going to 13" premium shock help enough and or will a set of Legends air suspension lift it any higher than the premium?"

I'm sure the 'premium' Harley shocks live up to their name! For similar money, through an HDF sponsor, you can have truly Premium Ohlins, which are quite another riding experience!

 

I run 13" JRI's on my rear suspension, I still can drag a 4.5" extended bag if I'm not paying attention - get the Bad Dad metal plates - you'll be happy you did - http://www.baddad.com/products/part/80865

 

I can attest to the completely different riding experience with Ohlins through an HDF sponsor. I got mine dialed in today and rode all the roads that jarred my teeth and made me cringe because I knew I was gonna feel the impact, however, I truly was amazed at the difference. Out of all the mods to my bike, the Ohlins from MotorcycleMetal have been the biggest impact to my enjoyment and riding comfort. Drank the kool aid and it's pretty damn good!! I got 13" Ohlins and it did raise my bike a bit, and as JMC22 suggested I would get the plates also. Sorry if I hijacked your thread.

 

Several shock suppliers do have 13.5" shocks also
