Default 103 cam choice

Yup another cam thread. I've got 09 road glide. I'm a big boy 300lbs I loved my 88 with Andrews 26 cams. It dropped out right were i liked to shift. Had bassani road rage pipe. I auto tuned it via pcv. I've got big bore 103 kit and screamin eagle 255 cams. I don't like the cams. They fall off real fast. Right now has stock head pipe and 4 inch Rinehart slip ons. Thinking bassani 2x2 pipe and dnts. Love me bassani. Its got screaming eagle race tuner so I'll prob do everything then have it dyno tuned. Have some take off 103 acr heads that ill put on. Thinner head gaskets to optimize compression. Don't want too crazy with the build. Any ideas?
Thanks

I have a 2010 Electra glide that I upgraded from a 96 to a 103. The 103 heads have been cnc ported and polished with the cr installed. I have Andrews 54 cams with stock push rods. MGS true duals with 4" monster rounds by VH. It dynoed at 94 hp and 106 lb tq. It will pull a train. I like the 54'sl

sorry for the double post

Welcome to the forum.

The Andrews 54H cams is a awesome, proven cam! I had the same cam when I did my stage II in my CVO 110" motor. I have since moved on with a big bore.

With the release of the Andrews 57, the 54H doesn't get much press. STILL one of the best all around cams!

From what I've read the 54h needs higher than stock compression. But it sounds like neither of you went that direction. Is that correct?

Correct.

I had Fullsac Sleeper Stage II Kit at that time, with stock compression and no head work.

SE-204 cams, are drop in cams they may be what you are looking for, higher compression or
heavy duty valve springs are not needed with a drop in set of cams.

X2

These will marginally lower low RPM torque and come on at about 2800 RPM with enhanced torque from there on up. Check out their sound at idle on YouTube.

The SEST has a specific map for em too.

If ya liked the 26s in your 88, you will love the 57s in your 103...My two "bang for the buck" drop in cams.
