Not impressed
I pulled my primary cover off today to while doing alittle maintenance and couldn't believe what I saw. My bike has 14,000 miles on it and is basically a stage two making 92hp and 113 ft lbs of tq. Little did I know but my clutch basket has check out. Three major cracks, basically a complete failure. Other than a handfull off rolling burnouts throughout its life I can't think of any excuse for a failure like this. It blows my mind that a belt is stronger than these clutch baskets. Anyone else seen these failures?

Yes the basket is stock. Everything else is barnetts scorpion clutch. I've seen many videos on YouTube today of clutch baskets that have done the same thing or worse. Seems like the clutches in these bikes are all around weak from the factory. I can't think of any other brand I've owned that needed heavier springs and such with light engine mods.. I can't believe you dump the clutch a few times (3or4) for a rolling burnout and this is what you get. Other than a few burnouts I can say I've abused this bike in anyway. Looks like a Barnett basket is going to run me $350.

I agree, I only brought up dumping the clutch a few times becouse I'm being completely honest. On the other hand I can't say I thrash on this bike at all really. I've spent a lot of money on this bike and it's my baby, I treat it very good.

FYI. I just saw a SE clutch hub posted for sale in the touring parts.
