Clutch cable length for KW stretch bars
Putting Khrome Works 300077 2+2 bars on a 2010 Ultra. KW support says many do fine with stock cable but to be safe I want a bit longer. I am looking at Magnum cables either 2" or 4". If i go with the longer cable and it is a bit long how do I handle the extra length? How do i "hide" it so it does not look funny?
Thanks

I just did those on my 09 FLHTC- best price was amazon $65 shipped...funny the prices move up and down and were at a high of $80...usually $73...one morning i woke up and the price was down to $65.
all the wiring is fine, plenty of room.
easy to de-pin the connector for the throttle and fish all 6(?) wires through- to open up the connector, make note of each wire position. pull the white block straight out with needle nose, and use a paperclip the release each pin from the block.
I used stock brake hose, but did loosen to rotate the hose ( you need a shim in the lever!) the positive pressure from my shim caused a little fluid to come out- no air in...do this step almost last.
one thing I did do, was my brake hose was contacting part of the triple tree- i slit a piece of fuel line and slipped that over
I used my stock clutch cable...it works but is ugly ( 1/2assed!) I would suggest a +4" would be good. you'll need the length as the clutch cable coming from the perch has the make a swerve to the left to go in the hole...any excess length you can use for a larger radius loop inside the fairing
I'll post a pic asap
i couldn;t be bothered to pull the trap door. I'll order up a cable and sit on it until I do something at the tranny and changes cables then- that'll tidy it up.

Update - I got the +2 cable and it worked out ok. Probably a 3 or 4 would be better. Word of caution -be careful when the cable is near the fork covers and the fender. The fork cover has a sharp bottom and it F*&$D my cable a bit.
I did need wiring extensions. I did extend them myself but then broke the connector trying to pull the cable. Now waiting on a new longer cable as the old one is dead.
