Sorry to hear about the orange peel.... because I would leave the "GHOSTED FIRE CHICKEN" and purchase a jacket to match! lol. While riding I would have everyone refer to me a "FIRE BIRD". I think it would be awesome hanging and drinking with buddies all while trying to use "FIRE BIRD" as many times as possible. One would almost need to arrive at the bar with some theme music. Good luck with your project and if possible, please post pics!

Thank you. Wild 1's 20in. I read a lot of reviews regarding bar height and people always wished they had gone taller....well, I couldn't find taller than 20in! lol. I honestly enjoy the placement of them, I'm 6'4 and they are a little above my shoulders. I have done several 2 or so hour rides with no problems... kinda feels like a recliner at times.

Started the tear down this morning. Made decent progress. Need to read up on tank removal. I have a manual for 12 touring, I assume that it should relate to he 09 also. Really don't want to buy another manual.

Another question; there is a button to the right of the lights button. Looks like it has waves on it. Anyone know what this would be for? It was hooked up to the orange and black wires under the nacelle.

Sorry for he crappy cell pix.

I don't think so. I'll have to take a closer look.

Heat Demons heated grip controller. The heat demons fit inside the bars. Be careful removing them if you want to reuse. Probably have to cut the wiring, they come with a non-reversible crimp down connector for install. They were effective on my EGC but the stock heated Harley grips on my SERG blow them away.
